Please stop booing jimmy!!

There have been so many hypocritical posts since TC started. If Jimmy is having a better day than Cam, its always just because Cam is a rookie and doesn't have the experience. If Cam is having a better day than Jimmy its always because Jimmy sucks and Cam is the best qb ever. Booing Jimmy just makes you look like a fair-weather fan with a mancrush on Cam. I want the panthers to have a successful season, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the bandwagon pricks jump on another team's jock asap.

I think it's a little more complicated than that

Cam is making strides in development right now. he's learning and improving his game in camp thus far

Clausen looks like he's made no overall improvement whatsoever. He's still checking down an awful lot. Last year he made pass attempts at a ten yard max from the LOS 77% of the time. Maybe he just doesn't have it, maybe it's just because he has a hard time seeing over the line, or his arm and touch are just not good enough, and it's nothing cheering him on will help.

RR says that no other receiver has stepped up besides Smith. If the guys look like they did last year, they got no separation at all and checkdowns might be the better play. Are the guys downfield wide open? Fairly open?

Or is everyone just assuming he should be slinging downfield?

He showed how completely fuging stupid he was on one play. It was the 11 on 11 series where Cam threw the pass into the back of the RB's helmet. He started yelling "Jimmy you suck...coach get him out of there". His buddy sitting next to him proceeded to tell him it was Cam that made the throw.

Someone needs to get that guy glasses if he can't tell the difference between a 6'2" white guy and a 6'5" black guy.

Cam's been connecting on deep passes to Edwards, Naanee, and even Clowney from what i've read on here, and that RR quote was said before Naanee took the field.

In this case, so far, yes it does matter which QB is in there. It's not like these guys decide to run poo routes when Clausen comes in

You all are missing the point. Clausen is to be the backup QB. He is not your enemy. We need him to build confidence from being thrown to the wolves last year. Imagine it were you.

What purpose does booing him now serve? Build him up. I do not care how far he threw the ball last year. That was last year. Fox set him up to fail and he did. Move on.

I want Newton to start and be successful like anyone here but I agree that Claussen should not be booed...today at Fanfest, Claussen throws one bad pass and the crowd jumped down his throat, boos all around the stadium, but those same people kept their mouth shut when Newton made a mistake.

Not what I heard, or saw, or read. : Only saw a little though.

Maybe the booing will put a fire under Clausen's behind, give him the drive to be the best QB to ever play the game!

Of course it didn't seem to work last year during his 9 starts (I believe). I guess we will have to wait and see what he will do in the pre-season.
