Smith injured a finger

Steve Smith left Panthers practice Tuesday with a finger injury and was headed for X-rays.

As we saw with Andre Johnson, these finger injuries to wideouts are often not as bad as they sound. Even when there's a dislocation, guys can play through it without missing much time. We'll know more after the X-ray results are known.

thats what they saw and speculated on it first. then rivera told the media what really happened.

Florio hasn't been kind enough to update it yet. Anyone going solely off of PFT could wind up in a panic.

This is why it's always good to check multiple sources.

Something tells me this will be one of those threads where the ratio of substantive information/discussion to smart aleck comments and/or panicky speculation will not be a good one

...and how does that make this thread any different from 99.9% of the threads on this board? LOL

Sheesh. PFT reports him "carted off" (via Person) and has Prisco speculating it could be a head injury.

This is the downside of the Twitter phenomenon :(

The facts:

1. Smith was put on a golf cart

2. Rivera said the injury is related to a finger.

3. No specificity as to which finger.

4. No mention of a 'break'

5. No offense to Mr. Prisco, but it was not a head injury.

I will report only what is told to me, and what I see and can confirm. Hope you guys are having a good one. More info to come....the212daily.com

Peace,

JE

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
