Jimmy Vs Cam needs to stop please

* Know his reads and make safe throws.

* If nobody is open throw the ball away or scramble.

If Jake Delhomme did that....we would have missed both 2 NFCCG and a Superbowl appearance.......Smitty would also not be regarded as one of the league's best (or at least was).

Sometimes gambling ain't bad. Cam probably needs to do less and Clausen a lot more.

Gambling isnt bad at all. What matters is when you do it. You want to be able to keep your team at the same score as the opponent or ahead. If we are tied at 10 10 you dont want to force passes and throw a pick. Its easier to stay up then to catch up.

unless Jimmy starts taking some chances......I think that is why so many are willing to throw an unprepared rookie out there.

This is a new offense that they both had to learn and you guys need to stop with the practice tweets because every pass Cam or Jimmy makes or misses gets blown out of proportion.

While I understand your point, the tweets are very valuable to those of us that are too far away to get to camp. The only thing better are the practice summaries that forum members post giving their overall impression of the practices.

All of us have to be intelligent enough to understand that each tweet is just a quick first impression of what was seen on that play. Nothing more. But please, don't discourage them...it is a great way to make some of us feel like we were there too.

I have nothing against the people who tweet. I am very happy that they go to practices and inform some of us who cant make it there. But my problem is some posters blow the tweets way out of context. I mean all i am saying its practice you cant expect everybody to be perfect or play perfect. Just because if Jimmy or Cam throws a pick. That make it seem like they are to worst QB's ever. like Child please

It's not hurting the Jaguars to throw Blaine out there. They think he's their second coming..

But put all jokes aside, I agree with you to a certain degree. In the NFL, comfortability and confidence only comes when u throw the QBs into the deep water. Like babies learning how to swim, they will either swim quickly, sink quickly, or sink a little and become great swimmers.

Cam has to eventually face the water. Us trying to turn him into a perfect robot with our many worries and concerns isn't going to work.

At the end opf the day, he has to score more TDs than the other team, keep the turn overs to a minimum and the Panthers defense have to hold off the opposing team. However he gets the job done is fine. Even if it's nail-biting at times. Football hasn't changed. Touchdowns still win the games.

    • The problem with these summary stats and rankings is that they flatten out progression and assume an even performance throughout the year. His first 3 or 4 games of the season don't really tell you anything about his current level of capacity but more about where he started and what his floor was last year. Given his last several games were against playoff teams, that gives you an idea of his current ability coming into the season. But it will serve more as a floor than a ceiling given the upgrade in talent on offense. And a better defense should give us more stops which results in shorter fields and more opportunities. And going into his third year there is no reason to suspect he will regress. His success wasn't  based on being superhuman but being smart and taking what was the defense was giving him. Distributing to the other guys not trying to do it on his own. He was great at the end when pressured and consistently moved the ball. That makes him a great game manager which is what we need. Something that is easier to do and relies on everyone else rather than having to be a top physical specimen or do it on his own. No one can predict the future but to say we haven't improved much is crazy given just having the Browns anchoring the defensive line will shut down the run and make sure QBs won't be stepping up in the pocket.  Assuming Evero got the message to can the prevent defense and bend until you break philosophy.
