Week 2 could swing our season.

Week 1- I think we have a fair chance at winning this one and coming back home with a 1-0 record.

Week 2- Do you know how this one game could make our season. I think our chances of winning this game is slim, but if we did... Knocking off the defending champs at home could really give our guys confidence.

Also if we lose 45-0, that would probably cause the reverse effect..

We have been known at times to win at home, hopefully this year is the same.

We beat the packers last time. Really boils down to how our QB plays and how our secondary defends 5 wide packages.

I honestly think we will lose this game. I hope people do not misinterpret this and think I'm saying we will win.. I'm just looking at how big of a momentum boost this would be if we did win.

I think we have a chance to win against Green bay, if only because I think everyone will be underestimating us at the outset of the season. We stunk it up last year, and until we come out and show something different, I believe a lot of teams will pencil in a "W" when they see us on the schedule. But I also believe this ain't the same old John Fox Panthers they've gotten used to over the last few years. I believe we're gonna surprise some folks. Green Bay might be one of them.

Packers have started out slow past 2 years. They lost to the Deadskins and Miami early last year. Its the NFL so anyone can win especially at home. Still we would need something close to a miracle, Green Bay is LOADED young and had almost zero turnover.

I don't see it either, but, the Packers won't be as good as they were last year. No Cullen Jenkins is really going to hurt, and losing Brandon Jackson, their third-down back, isn't going to help their cause, either.

I think the Packers will be good, but definitely not the best team in the NFC.

Ive been eyeballin that game since the schedule got released... A victory is possible, not probable, but definately possible. They are not the team they were last season and we damn sure arent either. The OP has a very valid point, a win on that day would do great things for the players...

    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
