Everette Brown a bust?

Problem with Brown is he undersized not enough strenght to get around and break free from the tackle and his spin is worthless. He will never ever be nothing more this a backup for any team he plays for. There is really no team out there willing to pay much for him in terms of draft picks. Mainly because he has not produce much since been in the NFL. Bottomline he was a waste of a draft pick and it is time for the panthers just to cut their loses with him and move on period.

is he fast enough to play in a 3-4
Question should be is he even strong enough to even play in the NFL. Yes he might stop the run once in a while with some help from a DT or linebacker. But he doesn't seem strong enough to make a solo tackle. If he is getting blowed up by a olineman while at the DE postion. Then how can he survive at any other postion on D. Brown is just a to small and not strong enough to play in the NFL as a starter. Backup if he is lucky.

Greg Hardy FTW

our 6th rounder just beat out our first rounder.

I'm not too worried about it. DE's aren't made overnight guys, and Hardy is a much much better NFL prospect than Brown (not mentally mind you). Brown really had one avenue to take and that is to get low and get quick. If he can't handle doing that he can't have a spot.

I'm watching last night's game right now and It's pathetic how he's getting punked out and pushed around by the back up linemen of the dolphins.
LOL He has been getting punked by our olineman in Camp this year. So nothing new. LOL Bottomline brown has turned into the team joke.

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
