I'd take Minter because he could tackle.

I love Minter as much as anyone. He was my first interview, he was my favorite Panther when he played and I'd had the pleasure of talking to him numerous time since his retirement but it's true that a player's legend grows the longer they're gone.

Minter wiffed on quite a few tackles himself, looking for the big hit. He, like Godfrey, wasn't that good at wrapping up. That is something I think Rivera will fix.

I was, still am a big fan of Mike Minter. Great leader, hard hitter.

Tons of respect for the man.

That being said, Godfrey has already shown more consistency than Minter.

This is why i find it so funny that people complain so much about godfrey. Minter got abused constantly in the passing game.

Minter was a big reason that the patriots were able to walk down the field like they did in the spuerbowl. Yes, i know he was playing on a broken ankle. No excuse. If he was that hurt, he shouldn't have been on the field. I admire his heart and desire, but don't agree with the decision the play on a broken ankle. This is just one of many examples.

Minter, love ya.

There's a big difference between a DB and a safety. DB tries to break up the pass before the ball arrives. Safety does it after the ball gets there.
