Gamble

Although he had help over the top I though he did a very good job on Fitz, only gave up three receptions to perhaps the best WR in the game.

He also had a couple of nice tackles against the run right around the LOS. Impressed with him, really thought Fitz would kill us.

Secondary as a whole played pretty well if you take away the blown coverages. Better than I anticipated.

He played well but that last completion he gave up was inexcusable... I could see that poo coming before the ball was even snapped. There was no question they were going to Fitz and Gamble let him run right by....

that last completion was NOT Gamble's fault.

He got a decent jam at the LOS and was right there with Fitz. It was a beautifully thrown ball and the safety was late coming over.

He wasn't right there or he could have made a play on the ball....Fitz had him beat by two steps. Maybe that's nitpicking but for as much money as Gamble is getting paid I think it's fair to nitpick....

Fitz runs by a lot of people. You have to have help on that type of route and the help got there late. Not that Gamble played well on that play, but with a guy like Fitz, you just hope to contain him, you can't really shut him down.

Fwiw, the play turned out to be irrelevant anyway. We still got the ball in scoring position with plenty of time, but failed to get it in the endzone.

He WAS right there with Fitz....the BEST WR in the game.

Your expectation of a corner completely shutting down the best WR in the game on every play is laughable. You MUST have saftey help on that route...and Sherod Martin was late coming over.

Gamble did a very nice job on Fitz today.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
