Does everyone realize that we have the 3rd oldest starting quarterback going into next season? I haven't seen that mentioned that often here, everyone realizes how old Jake is right? He's younger than Kurt Warner and Kerry Collins and that is it.

All of them except for Russell. And you can add Stafford and Sanchez to the quality list once they're drafted.

Why should we add Stafford and Sanchez? the other have proven something in the NFL to be considered "quality", we're not adding anyone unless they've proven they can play as a starter for a full season.

I seriously doubt that Stafford is going to be as quality as everyone seems to envision him being. He looked terrible last year, imo. Sure he has the *potential* to become a quality NFL QB, but there's no way in hell he will fall under that category this coming year. He's just not that ready for primetime.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
