I have been aware of Sapp throughout his career, and seems just like a place holder type player... Till you get something better.

I'll never forget this story I read about him a year or two ago in which Herm Edwards and Sapp were both interviewed individually on a story about Herm cutting Sapp when they were with the Chiefs and telling him he wasn't an NFL Caliber CB. Struck me as pretty heavy because Herm wasn't highly touted coming into the league in his day either and had to work his way up... So for him to say this guy wasn't an NFL CB, that was pretty rough...

Wow they released him but not Nolan Carroll? Atleast Sapp also made some good plays in that game, Carroll did nothing but get abused.

Love that interview!! 2009 wasn't Smitty's best year stat-wise, but he was awesome that game and that interview would have Ric Flair and Vince McMahon proud

Other than the one from 2003 where Smitty tells the cameras if they line his mama up out there he'll have to beat her like a drum too, this one might be my favorite
