The Chargers are always picked to make noise, but never do despite putting up video game stats.

The Raiders? Please. Jason Campbell sucks and once again their penalty yardage will be measured in miles.

They are both solid teams on the rise.

Chargers have Vjax back for the whole season which will make a huge difference. Rivers is a very good QB with a ton of weapons. They are a handful for anyone.

The Raiders have a stout D and McFadden is becoming an elite RB in the league, if he isn't already. Losing Miller hurts but they are a tough out for anyone.

They would give both Atl and NO a tough match each and every time and I would probably bet on SD against all 3 of them.

Chargers are led by Norv Turner, they will never get far. I feel bad for Rivers, who will never sniff the superbowl with Norv and AJ running the show there.

Oakland doesn't have a QB, they won't go anywhere. They do have a hell of a kicker, though.

I guess we're talking about two different things.

Do I consider them Superbowl contenders? Probably not the Raiders but the Chargers yes.

Do I consider them a tough game for most anyone that they'd play, including everyone in the NFC South, yes.

I agree about the raiders having a hard hitting D and good backs, but without a QB that won't win you many games. ATL and NO will chew them up, and TB and CAR would make a good game with them.

Chargers have some O, but so do NO and ATL. I don't think SD can keep up with them on a regular basis. Any given Sunday, sure, but my money is on ATL and NO beat any AFCW team no sweat.

Dude get a life

Oh, the irony...But enough on that.

As far as the broncos, I think their defense can hang with a lot of teams. Love miller and dummervil. I still don't think they can compete with the chargers. I don't think they scrare a lot of the competition.

The raiders are better, but they only won 2 games outside thei division last year. If you line up the NFC south and afc west. The chargers of the division would be the saints. As far as the rest?? I think ATL and TB are better than the rest of the division.

As far as us? I can't guarantee a win, but I don't see any reason why we couldn't conmpete against Oakland, Denver, or the chiefs. And we aren't a great team.

Raiders aren't on the same level as NO or Atl. Not even close.

It is a QB driven league.....and they don't have one (or one in training). Once they play some real teams.....that D won't look as good either. Things will change once they start playing w/o Nnamdi taking away half the field for a QB.

    • Ehlers needs to sit. Definitely can't lose him to a meaningless game.
    • Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying
    • I don't think it's at all a given that we have players who are good at driving the basket. I guess that depends on your definition. Bridges is 43rd in attempts in the paint Miller is 64th and LaMelo is 66th. We all love to see the lob threat but it's largely miniscule at this point in time. There's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who consistently can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
