Remaining Panthers schedule, we need 4+ wins out of these games to avoid #1 pick most likely:

4 Oct 02 CAR @ CHI Soldier Field 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 709

5 Oct 09 NO @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets

6 Oct 16 CAR @ ATL Georgia Dome 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 710

7 Oct 23 WAS @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM

8 Oct 30 MIN @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM

9 Bye

10 Nov 13 TEN @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM

11 Nov 20 CAR @ DET Ford Field 1:00 PM Tickets FOX

12 Nov 27 CAR @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets

13 Dec 04 CAR @ TB Raymond James Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets

14 Dec 11 ATL @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets

15 Dec 18 CAR @ HOU Reliant Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets FOX

16 Dec 24 TB @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM

17 Jan 01 CAR @ NO Superdome 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 715

With our Defense I see 5 games as max, if we finish with only 4 wins or less we could be in the running easily.

I can't speak to if GrG is a racist or not, but I hope he isn't. There is the very real possibility he was talking about a team ending up with the #1 draft pick though as that is the topic of this thread and not whose quarterback is better.

Strangely enough, having the #1 pick is not only based on the quality of the team, but also on the number of wins those teams have. Therefore, the fact that the teams he mentions have wins is relevant regardless of who their quarterback is, and regardless of if they are better or worse than we are, because they have done something we haven't done yet.

Also, our schedule is pretty f'ing hard as another poster pointed out. We could easily go into the offseason with a top 3 pick (even #1) and have 0 intention of spending it on a QB.

assuming no catastrophes, I see no reason why we wouldn't be in very good position in this draft overall... even if we do end up with a top 3 pick.

I really hope we don't, though. This team has the offensive firepower to really threaten people. If we can get a bit more out of our running game and get our defense on track we will be even more dangerous, and we WILL surprise some people.
