25 Best Burgers.. Well OK

Has anyone been to Smashburger in Ballantyne yet? I've been wanting to try it out.

Went about a month ago. Burger was OK...but nothing to rave about.

Actually was not even as good as Big Daddy's (I think they might have changed their name) in Ballantyne.

All triangle huddlers need to check out Tribeca Tavern. I worked there for 9 months, ate their burgers everyday and never got tired of them.

I've been to Big Daddy's and it seems to be hit and miss.

Buffalo burger is a hit for sure.

In other news, still missing the Small Block at the Penguin. Was my favorite burger in Charlotte. Pinky's makes a decent burger, as does the Diamond. But nothing beats an original Penguin burger, fried pickles, and a pitcher of Shock Top.

Holy sh*t. The pineapple on that burger in the picture just gave me this huge Red Robin Banzai Burger craving.

A big burger marinated in teriyaki with grilled pineapple and cheddar cheese on the top. Oh man...

Anyone been to The Liberty on South Blvd? I heard their burgers were the best in town.

The Liberty's burgers and parmesan fries are ridiculously good. The soft pretzel and spicy mustard are as well, and of course they've got a nice beer selection.

You guys should check out the Charlotte Burger Blog. It's two guys who go around various Charlotte restaurants ranking and writing about the burgers. The blog posts are always well written -- just maybe don't read them on an empty stomach.

Also if someone in the Concord/Kannapolis area wants a good burger they should try the ECW burger at East Coast Wings....I get it with volcanic or magma sauce and some Caribbean Jerk sauce as well....not too mention their homemade chips are killer! Definitely not on the level of some of these mentioned in the list but really good all the same....
