This isn't the NBA.

How often do franchise QB's get out of the town they started at if they play good? It doesn't happen.

Before LeBron took his talents to South Beach....even in the NBA you didn't see the real elites move like that. They former greats were all appalled and said that isn't what the great ones do......

times are always changing......just b/c it hasn't happened doesn't it mean it won't.

Yeah, both of those are bad examples. Very unique situations. People like Brady and Manning stick with their teams. And neither one of them had very good teams before they took them over. Cam will hopefully fall in line with that.

Kurt Warner? And how are they bad examples when the poster said it never happens?

But Cam is a thug too for obvious reasons, so he may kill some dogs also.

rodeo... you know I've been 100% behind Cam since before the draft.

Vick committed a criminal act. Come to find out, he actually got a lighter sentencing than the average joe who has been busted running dog-fighting rings.

For you to just throw this out there for no reason lowers you to the same level as those you would mock.

Brees is the Franchise guy in NO. He was never considered a franchise guy in San Diego. Otherwise they wouldn't have brought in Phillip Rivers.

Vick would most likely still be in Atlanta had he not killed dogs and gone to jail.

Wasnt Bress offered a 5 year deal before leaving? Also Dellhomme took us to a SB.....

Not quite, but sort of. From Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_Brees#2005

After the season, the Chargers offered Brees a 5-year, $50 million contract that paid $2 million in base salary the first year and the rest heavily based on performance incentives. Brees evaluated the incentive-based offer as a sign of no confidence by the Chargers and promptly demanded the salary a top 5 "franchise" quarterback would receive.

Kurt Warner wasn't the same when he was with the Rams after the broken finger, and they already had their younger quarterback in Marc Bulger to take over. He also was pretty a game manager when he played for the Giants. Only after he completely had to use a different grip on the football was he able to be effective again out in AZ.
