Why did we let go of Kasay?

Kasay is 4/7 from 40 - 49. His range is doubtful as well. Plus he doesn't do kickoffs.

Could Baker have done kickoffs?

Kasay is 80 years old and Mare's range as it is now is not in the upper 40's. He missed a 47 yarder (approx) earlier this year that was short.

Mare was perfect from 40-49 until today according to this.

I guarantee the majority if not all of those kicks are in the lower 40's range v. the upper. His long this year is 45 yards. The guy plain and simple can't kick a 50 yard field goal. Defend him all you want, but how many time have the coaches elected to punt or go for it when we could have kicked a 50 yarder.

I pointed out your incorrect statement. Wasn't defending Mare.

His career stats are basically identical to Kasay's. The front office made a bet that Kasay was done and took the BKA.

Front office failed again.

How did you point out my incorrect statement? I said his range is not in the upper 40's and you quoted a stat that was misleading. His accuracy from 40-49 is not pertinent because he hasn't made any over 45 yards. As I said before, his range isn't in the upper 40's and that is sad.

You said he missed a 47 yarder.

Anyway he hasn't attempted anything in the upper 40s.

51, 52, 29, 29, 47, 43 - this is what he has missed before today. Are you trolling or just in a bad mood today? The very link you provided said he was 0-2 from 50 plus yards.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
