Godfrey & Gamble should be ready to go vs. Bears

Agreed, I'd like to see us keep the ball out of Hester's hands on punts and kickoffs. Always seems to be a couple big plays that break our backs when playing away from home. Hester has that big play ability but without the ball in his hands he is just another player.

All starts with pressure from our front four on defense. If CJ and Hardy can keep Cutler off-balance and get in his head then he will turn the ball over and we get a win.

Speaking of Chicago, came across this thread titled "We should beat the Panthers, Right?"

http://boards.chicagobears.com/forums/2/2802315/ShowThread.aspx

Speaks of missing Olsen, wishes Rivera was their coach, and some other goodies. I can't post new threads, but it may be worthy of its own thread if someone that can post new threads would like to do so.

nice. rep for that find.

saw this in that thread:

After 3 weeks, Carolina's offense is ranked 7th best in the NFL and its defense is ranked 17th.

The Bears offense is 23rd and the Bears defense is 25th.

hmmm...you learn something every day.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
