Person of Interest was interesting. Nothing spectacular, but not bad at all. A bit more gritty than you'd expect from a network tv show, which is good. Emerson is interesting, as always. Just now sure how this show doesn't become a "same thing" every week type show. It has potential though.

After reading several threads throughout the years about TV series, I began thinking and realized that I don't even watch network TV series anymore.

If I want to see something interesting I usually have to go HBO, Showtime or somewhere besides network. Probably the closest thing to a network series I watch is "Justified" on FX.

Other than that, "Weeds," "The Big C," "Shameless," "Californication," "Brotherhood" was great while it lasted, "Nurse Jackie"..... all on Sowtime.

While HBO has "Eastbound and Down," "Boardwalk Empire," "Big Love" when it was on, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Hung" just to name a few...

... just no time for the network crap. When I do watch something it's off the DVR so I can FF thru the commercials.

Show is bad. I expected cheese, but wow. Male teenager acting stupid. Nerdy teenage daughter (Jurassic Park?). Throw the guy into security even though he was just in jail and forced his way there. Cliche teens outside screwing around. The dinosaurs look worse than Jurassic Park did almost 20 years ago. I can't believe they spent 22 million on this pilot. Acting was pretty bad too. I like how they have the "dude from Avatar" in there to lure people into watching it, even have him posing and standing around like he did on there. He's basically the SAME character in this one.

I'd expect cheese out of Falling Skies on TNT, but it was less cheesy than this. I felt like I was watching a SyFy channel movie or one of those straight to DVD ones off Netflix you haven't heard of.

"May" give it a couple episodes, but, I don't expect this one to last long.

"Terrible, horrible, POS.. but Ill give it a shot.." :hand:

What? I usually give shows a few episodes. My post was basically about how I felt about the Pilot. Maybe it'll get a bit better, or the story will become more interesting. Quite often Pilots have a different feel than the episodes after that so we'll see.

^^^ no. The last one sucked ass. I don't trust Rick Berman when it comes to Star Trek.

I wouldn't say it sucked ass it may not of been as good as the others but it definitely didn't suck ass. I enjoyed it the second time through when i stopped comparing it to tng.

Also Ive been searching the internet and it looks like they may be thinking about another series minus berman. Producer David foster has been pitching a new trek series to cbs that has joss whedon and ronald d. moore backing it. The brief synopsis he provides sounds intriguing. cbs seems to be interested.

    • He should be, at minimum his OC seat. His offense and situational awareness are some of the worst I've ever seen from any coach and that includes Matt Rhule. He's slow to react, he's not creative at all, and defenses can feast on his predictability.  I think the HC seat is warm but will get hot really quickly if this team doesn't step it up, and by a lot. We need more Dallas, Miami and Atlanta offense instead of Seattle, SF and Tampa (2). Hell we even barely squeaked by the Jets. He's got to be better or he's going to be gone.
    • I am not thinking he has that in the best order. O’Connell should be in front of Canales, I think for sure. Maybe Lafleur, Packers underperformed a bit. Maybe Quinn. Redskins had a rough year.    Schottenheimer? Don’t see it absent some sort of collapse. Not sure there is a need to put ten names down, really.    Re Canales, if it goes bad early, it is likely Bryce doing his annual ritual. Which is one of the big subplots we will be looking at next year.
    • This guy is a baller! You can tell by how he dissects plays. Already really liked him, but now I'm loving him! Smart, humble,  all around good guy...reminds me of me, LOL. take aways: Give Bryce a ton of credit. Like a lot. When asked about his contract. "I'm not going anywhere. I want to play for this team for as long as I can." YIPPEE! Gave love to TMac, Horn, Tremayne, even Hunter and Theilen. ONE NAME CONVEINENTLY LEFT OFF THE LIST.
