So who runs the Panthers when...

Money talks? He's gonna be DEAD what money could he use?

Did you read the post? I said his choice wanting to sell as in whoever he chooses wanting to sell the team, not JR, obviously he would be gone. But even without money some people sell it just because they think someone else could run it better or they don't want to run it (being the representative owner) themselves.

Or maybe he leaves it to multiple poeple and some people sell their share. I don't know how it works but I do know money can have something to do with it. You don't just die and leave billions to just anyone. Whoever ends up with the biggest piece of the pie makes the most decisions, and that person could in fact wish to sell.

I trust JR, but I don't trust other people. I like the Morrison guess, JR really likes him.

It only matters if they plan on keeping the team in Charlotte.

They get brownie points if they bring in a new GM who gets it right more than wrong most of the time.

They better keep this poo here I'll have a fuging meltdown.

Jerry is the majority owner but not the only owner of the Panthers. He owns slightly less than 50%, The remaining is spread out among a dozen or so other folks. I would expect they'd have soem purchase option in the event Jerry or his heirs decided to sell. Splitting his peice of the pie among his family would likely give control to one of the others.

I have a strange feeling about Danny Morrison. This guy is constantly walking around, and greeting fans, as if he already owns the team. I just can't help but feel, that there's already some plan in place for this guy.

Just a wild guess!

I would love for it to be Morrison. At the AZ game on opening day he walked along the entire field and shook hands and talked to every single Panther fan that was standing at the rail watching warm ups. Thanked us for making the road trip to support the team and the organization. Said he loved my wife's nails because they were painted in the Panthers blue with tiny Panthers logos on them. Absolutely class act guy and I'd be proud to have him at the helm.

I'm not sure why people always talk about the Panthers leaving, must be lingering pain from the Hornets I guess. The PSL situation virtually guarantees sellouts, the team is profitable and the market isn't really that small. A team is an investment, future value matters. At current growth rates, Charlotte will soon have more people than Cleveland, Pittsburgh or Detroit, but nobody thinks those teams are moving. Charlotte's a big city now, and getting bigger. So are the other Carolina markets; RDU, the Triad, GSP, Columbia.

seems possible..

I doubt his kids will get the franchise considering they were fired for lesser duties.
