Cam Newton/twitter related

Recommended Posts

Do you guys think we will see him get twitter at some point? I Know the reaction will be "I hope not, that is stupid" or "He should just concentrate on winning" but give me a break. Everyone is on twitter these days.

There is no bigger time athlete NOT on twitter, can anyone think of one?

I want to see Cam get on twitter soon. When's it going to happen

Tom Brady.

Payton Manning.

Philip Rivers.

Lets keep distractions down for our young QB K?

i don't want him worried about filling in the fans about what he's doing. i don't want him to bother with it at all. that or facebook.

it doesn't have any place in the game. saying it does is pretty ridiculous. how would it? it's got nothing to do with the game.

i don't want him talking about where he's going. where he's going to eat. what his friends are talking about. what show he's watching. none of that. he needs to be above that trivial stuff. i don't want him to be one of us. i want him to be a superstar that doesn't need to be an attention *****.

sorry. i just don't think this is important or something he needs to do. i don't see the point in it.

btw...i use twitter on a regular basis and use it for news and i have quite a few accounts that i use for business.

Let me make it clear, if he doesn't get on it; I admire him for not caving and think its kind of cool all in the same. But at this point I kind of hope that he does and would expect him to go the way that a guy like LeBron went as far as twitter or other #1 overall pick types (Taylor Hall - NHL, Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Kevin Durant, Bryce Harper, Lebron, etc.)

But I think it's cool if he stays away from it as well

Plus there are so many stupid haters out there he will get flooded with pooty tweets from jack offs.

Exactly! people out there still have bitter feeling toward him. I'm pretty sure the nickname Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire infuriates him. It's best he stay away from social media for awhile.

there are two reasons why people are on Twitter... fame or noteriety that will lead to money or egomania.

You're entitled to your opinion and many might share it. But I think there are examples of people who aren't on there for those things. And not just people like you and I but people who already have fame and notoriety. And money. And egomania.

    • I see both sides of the arguments, but compared to last year we're somehow at an upgrade over completely fried Dalton and wasn't even good in college Plummer. At least Pickett and Grier probably have some desire to make more money when Dalton was happy to just go through the motions and I will never understand why they even bothered with Plummer.
    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
