they're def valuable but people have this obsession with shutdown corners when at their very best they just turn the game into 10vs10. would take an impact d-linemen 99/100 times over a shutdown corner.

4 games have been played, 2 against teams that will probably have the 31st and 32nd ranked passing offenses. It's inflated. This pass D is somewhere in the middle.

You dont draft DTs in the first round unless he's some really great prospect. Out of our needs, CB is where you go. DT and OL can get picked in at least the 3rd round. Unless again there's some great OL prospect earlier. Otherwise, wait.

Good pass defense = shitty run defense (in this case). Still need a corner.

I have no clue.. bottom line is he is a 4th round pick. How often do 4th round picks contribute right away? Rarely. Especially one's that have missed all of the pre-season and minicamps.

With ACL issues as well

Because talent wise he was graded as a late 1st or 2nd, character concerns hurt his stock, much like Hardy.

When you have the 30th ranked rush defense, people don't really ever need to pass the ball.;)

Our defense is easily top 10 in favorable TOP yet we also easily have one of the 10 worst rush defenses in the league. That is terrifying and should not happen.

Rather than worry about Hogan who might be a month away from being in the rotation, the guy who needs to continue to step up is Darius Butler. If he continues to develop and improve, Hogan can sit back and learn the defense instead of having to play right away. That is always best with a rookie.

I am excited about Hogan....not because of what I think he gives us this season...but with his talent, we have some nice young corners.

May not need to use a high pick next season in the secondary.
