Some facts regarding the decision to throw the ball on that infamous 3rd-and-2

The call was brilliant. Greg Williams was too busy whining about Cam getting calls to even think about the possibility of us going deep on third and short. Smith was OPEN. Cam made a bad throw. That isn't the coaches' fault. You guys sound might enjoy posting over at FalconsLife since you seem to enjoy having retarded opinions so much.

Unless of course he doesn't make it, then people call Rivera Fox 2.0 while furiously jerking each other off.

Yeah. We're in the lead. We're driving. A 30 yard bomb to Smith on 3rd and 2 was definitely the high probability play to run there. Because KILLAR INSTINCT fug YEAH!!

I have a better fact: Defense has to stop third down conversions. They did not. /game

Defense did ok. New Orleans is among the tops in the league at converting third downs. We didn't do much worse than anyone else has. And in effect, the defense held them to 20 points. Unfortunately an offensive mistake and a coaching screwup gave them 10 more points.

To beat New Orleans, you have to score a lot, and not give them easy ones (like their first td).

3rd and 2. You have two capable backs, running wild on this defense and you decide to pass and incomplete? NO. NO! fug YOU, fug YOUR STUPID PLAY CALLING BALLSY PIECE OF poo! YOU RUN THAT GOD DAMN BALL DOWN THEIR THROATS AND ESTABLISH DOMINANCE ON THAT GOD DAMN SAINTS LINE LIKE YOU HAVE ALL GOD DAMN DAY! fug YOU MOTHERfugING fug!

That play cost us the game. That SINGLE play cost us this game. You keep running get that 1st down. Eat up that clock. It's logical.

You know what else was brilliant?(we'll use your definition of brilliant)

That roll out pass to the right side of the field that never works

Throwing the ball the the worst player on our offense more times than anyone other player.

Not leaving your base defense on the field during the FG attempt, and trying to substitute for reasons only God could understand(and he's probably baffled TBH).

But yea we the SMARTESTEST 1-4 team probably ever.

Let's see.

1. Run the ball and possibly pick up like 3 yards, and still have to hope that you can keep running the clock down assuming you even GET the first down in the first place.

2. Throw a bomb that no one is expecting to Steve Smith, resulting in a huge play and possible a dagger of a TD if your QB connects.

Hmm *chews gum and claps* which one is the better option?

But you guys are right. Rivera is a huge doucher for having faith that his defense could stop Brees from scoring again even if the gamble didn't pay off. I mean, it's not like they had done it just one series before or anything. You guys aren't total morons at all you sound totally reasonable.
