u are right. miscue

might have been 6 Smitty was wide open

oh well

offensive miscues and defensive weakness kept us from wiping the floor with this wannabe team. We really gave Brees all day almost every play and they won off of a few gifts. Present subject of OP included.

Not mad.

Like I said, I dont think carolinas goal this season is to win games. They want another high draft pick but they also want to make the games exciting as to get fans to buy tickets. Winning and getting a middle to late 1st round pick would be devastating to this team that needs playmakers. They wont get the 1st pick to sell, as The Colts look like they are in full blown Andrew Luck mode.

sorry....not buying that at all.

Cam said in the post game he thought Smitty was running a slant. He said it was his error, not Smitty's, just to clarify for the controversy nutcases.

Let's be real...the Saints returned the favor when one of Brees's balls were tipped into the hands of a Panther player and the team was able to turn it into a TD. Mistakes will happen...See Blaine Gabbart's miscue snap that gave the Bengals a nice easy gift.

The problem seems to be the Panthers as a team really don't remember how to WIN. Only Cam seem to remember because he did it quite often last season. It seems more mental than physical with this team. And yes, the mentality of a team can play a strong role in a team winning or losing.

not even close... and from so many angles I cannot think where to begin explaining.

a spot 7 route miscue on the first play of the game compared to a poorly thrown ball and acrobatic corral off the tip setting up a half dozen or so plays for a TD.

did you really start that post with "let's be real"

lmao

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
