Is this the best offense we'eve ever had?..

Awesomeness!!

Even our Super Bowl team (and the teams in the years following them) was average on offense. We ran the ball 65% of the time, and played better with a lead. Run the ball and the clock. This offense is capable of coming back from double digits, and scoring at almost any point. I personally can't remember an offense as good as this one..

99 offense was second only the the Rams that season. It was amazing. But I think our current offense is only going to get better and we've already been insanely good.

It's definitely atleast our 2nd best offense of all time. Crazy.

The 1999 team averaged 26.3 points a game and 355 yards a game.

The nexr prolific team was in 2008 where we averaged 25.9 points a game on 349 yards a game.

We were most efficient in 2005 when we score 24.4 points a game on only 309 yards a game.

Compare that to this year where we are averaging 23.7 points a game on 416 yards per game.

We are moving the chains but still learning to score in the redzone. it is not the best yet in the one stat that matters which is points scored.

It's what I've been saying. This is by far the most inefficient offense we've had. We should be averaging 30-32 ppg considering our yards. The Beuerlein of 1999 was way better. Plus all of those teams put up over 30 points numerous times and hit over 40 at least once. Heck even Pete's O pf 2002 put up a whopping 52 against Cincinnati. Smith had 2 punt returns for TD's.

I'm watching the Jaguars/Ravens game and it's 9-0 with 7 left in the 4th quarter and it took their kicker making 2 54 yarders to get those. What these guys wouldn't give to just have one of our offensive drives right now. We piss them away like they are nothing. Gabbert still look sorry.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
