Will steve smith top his stats from the last time we played the vikings?

I rather Cam have a washington day. Balance offense

screw that.

just do what it takes to win. balance is overrated.

if they are weak in one area, you exploit it. you don't say, "well, to be a more complete team we need to run 50% and pass 50%." you play to your strengths and, more importantly, to their weaknesses.

if they are weak against the pass and strong against the run, then you pass all day and toast them.

Rivera's take on "balance" is better than the standard football definition.

No, what would be weird would be if he got double digit catches (because he rarely ever does) for no yards.

Well from our discussion in our other thread, be careful....if Cam keeps throwing behind the line of scrimmage you might just get your wish. Personally I don't wanna see that anymore. I'd rather Cam complete 30% of his passes trying to get some yards than be at 80% while keep throwing these brain farts.

If there has ever been a bigger insult to our running game, and our two start RBs, it's these throws behind the line of scrimmage that get us 2-3 yards.

Cam needs to kill those yesterday.

NO. Because nothing ever goes as expected. We actually really end up winning 9-6 this time....in OT. Vikings miss their FG attempt and we get ours;) Cam has a 40 QB rating and we pass for 98 yards while Peterson is held to -3, Williams rushes for 130 and another 70 by Stewart, and Ponder goes 33-40, doesn't get picked off once but never scores in the red zone. Vikings put up 400 yards total offense and score 6.

Way to waste your own time, and everybody else's time by basically saying nothing.

Yes because Smith never breaks those for big gains

Even so they're not the type of throws we should be making and they're not always to Smith...they include guys like Naanee or slow ass Shockey.

We have running backs. And despite what people think we do still have a full back too! REALLY.....I saw him.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
