Football Gameplan's 2012 NFL Midseason Mock Draft Video

I always love these mocks, lotta fun. My thoughts on your picks:

#2 Dolphins: They'd spend the #2 on Kalil when they already have who could be the best LT in the game right now Jake Long? Suspect. I'd believe they'd take Trent Richardson to pair with Daniel Thomas (if they've already given up hope on Bush) or Landry Jones before Kalil.

#6 Jaguars: I think 3 WRs in the top 6 picks is a bit much. I think Floyd is a late 1st round pick at best.

#9 Panthers: If the Panthers use their 1st round pick on a DE when we already have two very young very good DEs I'll go apepoo. You said "someone to play opposite Charles Johnson" but I think you're forgetting about Hardy. He's been playing lights out this year, better than anyone could ever expect from a 2nd year 6th round pick. I'd even rather spend that pick on an OLB than DE, and I don't believe in taking 4-3 OLBs that high.

#14 Dallas: Eh, 14 might be a little early for a Safety...I could see Dallas going with Janoris Jenkins. They still have a big need at CB (which they've had for like 5 years running and not really addressed it). They're also the type of organization that doesn't shy away from off field problems, so Jenkins seems like the perfect fit.

#17 - 19, 21 - 22: I really like all these picks. I think Trent Richardson is a very good fit in Cleveland whether or not Hillis gets resigned. Hardesty doesn't look like the RB they thought they were getting when they drafted him. The Chargers need some playmakers on defense and Upshaw fits their needs and the value at this spot very well. Same thing with the Bills, their defense is horrible and though Ingram is a tweener all the guy does is make plays. I love this pick for the Bears, they really need Safety help since they cut Harris and Merriweather sucks. CB might not be the Bengals top need, but I like Gilmore as a big physical CB. Maybe a little early for him, but I like the player.

#30 - Really like this pick for the Patriots if they're sticking with the 4-3. Agree with what you said, they need some youth at D-line and this guy is good value this late.

One oversight, you picked for the Saints and Raiders after the 1st but not the Falcons? I agree they don't deserve any picks, but they'll probably get some anyway.

I would love for us to get Coples, love, love, love. Some really bad picks though, draft was terrible for the most part. Floyd going 6? Hell nah. Dolphins taking Kalil over Barkley? They already have two incredible young lineman Puncey and Long. Matt Barkley is going to be a star, bank on it. Kid has all kinds of talent, I love that fit for Washington or Miami. LA surfer kid swag, comes from a pro style offense, he's far and away the second best quarterback in the draft.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
