I really don't see why in hell we signed this guy for?? we give him a fat contract and he can't even kick 50+ yarders?? did the FO forget how many 50+ yarders kasay has kicked and made all these years?? doesn't make any sense to me and we really could have gotten a much better kicker for much cheaper imo.

Don't get me started, I never liked him, ever.

All I every hear is 'his % and Kasay's are about the same or his is better'. I always want to ask, yeah, ok, and and how many of his kicks were game winners compared to Kasay's.

There is a reason this guy has been to multiple teams in his career.

Time for the Panthers to find some blood in the kicking game, both punting and kicking in the draft; other teams have done it, surely they can too.

Wait a minute...we complained weeks ago when we punted instead of attempting a FG in excess of 50 yards, now we complain because when we actually attempted a FG in excess of 50 yards, Mare missed it.

So which is it?

Kasay missed a few 50 plus yarders as well. He even missed a 42 yarder last year that would have beat Cleveland.

Can't really blame that one on Mare. It was more the fault of the penalty that pushed us back.

Maybe the blocked fg was Mare's fault though I thought that one of the Bears got a hand on it even before it hit peppers.

You're confusing them.

I didn't complain about it but it would be nice if he could actually kick 50+ yarders dont you think?

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
