Semi-Official Premature Huddle Draft Board

I don't think we draft a CB with the top pick, and with Edwards hopefully coming back with the rookies, I think you gotta give them more time. LB is the biggest need IMO.

And for you geniuses talking about do I keep up with Davis and how his career is over. Notice how all the prospects are LBs? Connect any dots lately? smh..

It appears that you haven't.

We need a defensive tackle dumbass.

Coples, Thompson, Ta'amu (if we trade down), Ingram

We drafted first round linebackers in 2001, 2005, and 2007. Given the depth at that position in this draft we could still get a really good one in the 2nd

what's a corner going to do to help pressure the QB unless we can find one that can cover a WR for 30 seconds

I agree with you. We need to take the best impact player for defense. And if that means we take Vontaze Burfict from Arizona State then that cool.

we arent converting into a 3-4

Good. There were several threads a couple weeks ago indicating such.

Best for us is to trade out of top 5. Those picks will be QB's and WR's. We do not need those at the moment. Thread on draft board already, but I think trading down with someone like Cincy who might want another top 5 WR to pair with Green (like Jeffrey from South Carolina) could give Dalton a potent combo.

We could take both their #1's which are currently at 18 and 23.

With those two, we could pick 2 of these 4 postitions. LB, DT, CB, OT. The value is much better for those positions around 20 rather than top 5

Edwards won't make much of an impact, torn triceps is pretty serious for a DT. Especially at his age.

This is likely, but I think you go with a stop gap player considering we spent two 3rd round picks on DTs just last year and we still don't know exactly what we have.

You guys really think we will be picking in the top 7 of the draft? I mean yes we've lost, but we aren't one of the overly bad teams. I think St. Louis, Denver, Miami, Seattle, Tennessee, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Washington, Arizona, Kansas City, Indy could all be picking before or just after us. I still think we can finish around 6-10, or 7-9.

I project we draft more in the 9-13 range.

All of em r 3-4 LBs... you can scratch em as our picks.

All of those players are talented enough to play almost any linebacker position and are currently playing inside linebacker in 4-3 defenses because they are the best linebackers on their respective teams. I pretty sure they would be capable of OLB duties in our defense.

I agree that this is a deep LB class, but I would only wait if you can land a top tier interior lineman. I personally am not crazy about this class of lineman though... The LBs at the top of the draft are impact players and there is a big time need for impact players. Again, I'm thinking we draft in the 9-13 range.
