Define a "true" Panthers fan...

Everyone even though they have something of importance, somehow finds a way to watch or at least try to watch the game, or listen to the game. On the road making a long distance drive? Finding the game on the radio. At the mall because your girl wants to shop? Refreshing the updates on your phone or paying money to watch it on your phone. If you do that, you're a hardcore fan in my book. Also, if losing pisses you off like it does me.

If you were a real fan, you wouldn't be shopping during a game. Cats before ******.

Over the years, I've moved away from trying to define who's a true fan and who isn't. It's kind of like telling someone else how they should grieve after the loss of someone they care about. You just can't define someone else's feelings.

There are certainly attitudes and ideas that I find silly, but reality is you can't tell other people how to cheer for their favorite team.

Awesome post Scot. Exactly how I feel.

As long as the person loves this team and has an allegiance to it, they are a fan... how they handle the good or bad that comes with being a fan doesn't determine that.

if you have an unthinkable rage to break something after a loss your a true fan. It's the ones that show no emotion that we should worry about.

Well, sometimes you don't really have a choice. Plus, I was with my parents shopping. Little different there sir. Made it home for the rest of the first quarter though. so................:D

Sometimes I wish I was more even keel so it didn't affect me so much when we lose, I really have to check myself afterwards and let it go hour by hour so I can be "me" again. Then again, when you're so emotional about losses it makes the wins that much sweeter.

Ironically, as much as I rage during the regular season, for some reason the calmest I've ever been in a loss was probably the Super Bowl. When Vinatieri kicked it and I saw it go through, I turned the TV off immediately, turned over, put my face in my pillow and just laid there. THAT was depressing my friends.
