Smokin Joe Frazier now under hospice/comfort care

I’ve written at length about Joe Frazier in the past and will do so again in the future. For now, a few words on his passing.

Frazier fought with an intensity, determination, and pride seldom seen in the sometimes glorious, sometimes ignominious, history of boxing.

In his day, he was a bad MFer. No one talks much about Frazier's career because Mohammed (sp.?) Ali was an attention *****, and pretty much overshadowed every other boxer's career of that time period.

Anyway, Frazier was one of the best fighters of all time, probably even in the top 5. If Frazier had been a boxer in recent decades, he would have been a long time champion. I think he is probably better than every heavyweight champion we have seen since Mike Tyson.

Joe Fraziier was the man! But after Tyson, Evander Holyfield (beat Tyson 2 times) and Lennox Lewis (beat tyson 1 time) were also bad MFers!

In fairness, pretty much everything Ali said, he backed up.

Frazier was from a time when boxing was huge (before idiots like Don King ruined it).

I remember those days, and Frazier :(

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
