Do you prefer a W next week or the #1 Overall Pick?

We would get a LOT more than a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Luck. Hell, Cleveland got more than that for Julio f**king Jones.

Raiders just gave up a #1 and a 2nd/possibly additioinal #1 to get Carson Palmer. All it takes is one dance partner.

It looks more and more like that kid from USC will be a #2 pick so either way we're sitting pretty with plenty of teams trying to move up

No Bowl Game for Barkley to show his stuff however. The Combine will be interesting this year.

I think we'll still have options at #2 if both Barkley and Luck declare. Though I don't think we'll get nearly as much as having the #1 with Luck there. Also, I think at #2 we'll have to actively go out and pursue trade partners, create leverage, ect. Something I don't have complete faith in our FO to pull off successfully. With the #1 overall teams would come to us and aggressively outbid other teams, putting us in a much better/easier position.

I don't think it matters what we want, the team seems determined to lose. Regardless, as Mav said, the Colts have to beat someone else besides us for us to get the #1 pick. I just don't see that happening.

I haven't looked at the Colts ending schedule, but remember that the teams at the end, that they play, may be already in the playoffs.... so they won't play their best players the whole game... making a win for the Colt's possible.

Let's go see whom they will be playing then......

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
