Pilares Again

How Long until he is in the starting lineup? Next year even. I mean he might as well get some shots in the slot.

Kid has swag. He is already our best special teams player by a long shot. Not just returning but in the gun. Kid plays with little fear. Nothing has looked to big for him. He has immediately made an impact on the team.

I'm a huge Gettis fan and I like Edwards but I think Pilares might be something really special.

When he proves himself enough I would imagine.

Hmmm, a kick return fora TD and another 76 yarder for a return. From what I`ve been reading no one else has done that in 8 years at Carolina. He can`t show you what he can do if he`s sitting on the sidelines. That`s why most aren`t impressed yet. Same thing if 89 Smith is standing on the sidelines. What production would you get outta him? Zip, Nada, Zilch...

He hasn't caught, nor been thrown too, nor even played a snap as a receiver (as far as I can tell). Isn't it just a little silly to be discussing him as a starter at this point?

Pilares is just a rookie fluke, AE is where our future is at.

Pilares has not been 100% and is recovering. I have no doubt this dude will be mean and earn a roster spot but my worries for him come from being injury prone, but he has the tools and just needs work ethic.

    • He has made some good throws yes. His arm isn’t great by any professional measure though It might be decent enough, but the poor footwork inhibits it.  So he has to really focus on that and from what I’ve seen he is not consistent.    peace.
    • If only Bryce were 8'1" then CJ wouldn't have needed Woody Marks to carry him against the Titans nor the defense to carry him with 3 picks vs. Cooper Rush. If he were a real QB, he'd have thrown for over 250yds and the Texans wouldn't be 2-3. /s See? I can do the same dumb, lame poo that y'all do. Doesn't this make the board a better experience overall? 🙂
    • Their defense is on track to be worse than ours last year. Their run D is in the bottom half but their pass D is horrible.    32nd overall D, 32nd passD, 23rd rush D We are going to have to throw the ball against them, which means down field where they are vulnerable. Problem is Turnover Fred struggles to push the ball down the field and we have the 26th ranked pass offense. Running will help but will have to beat them through the air. On the flip side, Dallas’ offense is awesome.    1st overall, 3rd pass, 8th run.    But Evero’s defense is ranked 12th right now with the pass D around 10th and rush D around 14th.    If we can take care of the football (looking at Bryce) and we make plays down the field (also looking at Bryce) we can win, yes.
