also we lead the league in rushing TDs at 15, and we rush for about 135 a game

still not good enough for you power running game fanboys or are you at least satisfied with the running game's production?

BOOM, BABY! BOOOOOOOM!

Thank you! Now, stop with the " we need to run the ball more" garbage. Our offense is fine the way it is.

also would like to note we're 11th in TOP, above average, and not only that, but for all you ball control sticklers out there, the average TOP of 30:39 this year is better than our TOP in both 2008 and 2009, where we rushed an average of 5-6 times more than we average this year and ended up at 29:28 (2008; ranked 21st in league) and 30:13 (2009; ranked 13th)

and for a fun fact Cam Newton alone has more rushing TDs than the entire Panthers offense in 2003.

I'm pretty sure we were about as balanced as a team can possibly get last week.

Don't think anyone would tell you that last week as a team we didn't run enough.

There are some people who think we ran D-Will too much or whatever but I don't care about which of our two RBs are running as long as it suits their styles (mmm more D-Will up the middle! BRILLIANT!)

three... headed... monster....

Pick your poison.

On a related note I think we are finally starting to see some of the things that I had hoped out of this offense and Cam Newton before the season started. Our third and shorts and red zone offense has been really hard to defend as of late. We are seeing a steady dose of read option, pistol, and QB draws in those situations and it is starting to payoff.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
