alright trd thats ONE time lol..... and it wasnt really inside a window like the pass to legedu naanee for a 19 yard td in the bucs game, BUT still a great pass and the best pass of The Golden Calf of Bristol all year. The Golden Calf of Bristol deep touch throw to to thomas at the end of the minnesota game was GREAT TOO, but it was knocked away.

but how often does The Golden Calf of Bristol does this....newton has done it way more than just one or two times, especially the deep touch throws. ( the two where smith came just short at the goal line).

ill see if i can find some videos on youtube.

cam may do it more often but he is also given far more chances to... I do think Cam is more accurate than Tim but occasionally Tim can make some nice throws. Both are still young, lots of room to grow.

Not saying you in particular big_syke17, but I do not understand why some fans here are so reluctant to allow anything positive about a QB other than Cam.

vs the sb packers, makes clay look bad lol but onto the real deal(remember his 2nd game)

1:53 3:20 3:57(just cant beat that one) all deep touch throws on point, more than one time a game.

and yes he had ints in the game but at least you see the CONSTANT potenial of newton and he is going against the best team as a rookie. seems like newton has played better competition hmmmmmmmmm. did way better against matt stafford than The Golden Calf of Bristol did, but that logic does not prove newton is better, those throws DO!!!!

AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND A PLAY WHERE The Golden Calf of Bristol threads the needle, plus throws while his reciever isnt LOOKING, to a SPOT on POINT in one play. I BETCHA YOU CANT FIND ONE. NEWTON IS SO MUCH MORE ADVANCED IT ISNT EVEN FUNNY!!!!

The Golden Calf of Bristol just has a better team around him and better coaching(weird)lol

isn't it obvious? it's an attack on cam and you are saying you'd rather have someone else.

Why does he have to have 40 attempts?

Obviously Cam is going to have more picks, he's not a very good passer and has more attempts.

I don't think you understand how picks per attempts works. Cam throws interceptions at a rate 3 times higher than The Golden Calf of Bristol. That's crazy considering how slow and terrible The Golden Calf of Bristol's motion is. Wait, it gets crazier. The Golden Calf of Bristol throws TDs at a rate twice as high as Cam Newton. fug. Throws more TDs and less Ints? Beast mode.

Your logic here is much like the guy who says the better running back is the guy with 8.2 ypc and 20% TD ratio over the guy with 4.2 ypc and 6% TD ratio.

Problem is, the guy with the "better" numbers ran it 10 times for 82 yds and 2 TDs while the guy with the "worse" numbers ran it 250 times for 1050 yds and 15 TDs.

The MORE you do of a thing, the MORE likely those numbers norm.

The LESS you do of a thing, the MORE likely those numbers skew.

But you knew that already.

    • I think you have to factor in that we're still not an attractive proposition for Head Coaches. You're not getting the cream of the crop if you fire Canales a year after winning the NFC South, especially considering the situation he walked into.
    • Yeah, I was about to say I hope he's doing okay health-wise because he's not looking good in that pic.
    • Honestly, I dont  think he should be on the hot seat yet. A bad start to next year, then yes. Despite our mistakes on play calling this past season, we played better than anticipated overall. Bryce showed improvement and maturity (although still not nowhere close to our expectations). Better record and 2-15 to 5-12 to 8-9. Despite what we feel the stats dont lie we are improving by 3 wins a year. Could 11-6 be our expectation. That's a high bar but at the rate we are going, thats what its looking like. We all want to see a 5-12 to a 13-4 record but we are methodically moving up. Success doesnt happen overnight (well in most cases).  IMO we are struggling mostly on the defensive end. LB and edge are our biggest weakness. I see Bryce making improvements (even though I was a Bryce hater) next year. Biggest concern is LT on offense. How to fix this? We need a big name edge or to trade up and get a big name edge or LB and pick up one in FA and draft one. Also if in the 3rd we can pick up a TE. Dont know if Sanders is the answer or Tremble (even though I love Trembles blocking and power after the catch). If these two can get their footwork together they would be great. Maybe all they need is a better TE coach. And if Brooks can stay healthy and be the back we thought he could be, man that would be great
