Bronco fans mad at Smittys comments...

Clearly Smith is a Jealous hater. He's on a crappy team who's QB inspires no one. He's probably most angry because he knows he only has one or two good years left that are going to be wasted on a losing team.

What's Cam's TD:Int ratio? What's The Golden Calf of Bristol's? (we wont even mention records). Nuff Said.

Cam said he wants everyone to be on his level. A real team guy he is lol. Maybe he should stop throwing picks.

Cam is having a good rookie year and I would expect an outspoken guy like Steve Smith to have his back.

All you have to do is look at Smith's comments in the past and you'll see that the guy isn't very reasonable or logical and doesn't really deserve credibility. Having said that I thought he was sometimes entertaining during that period when he was one of the top WRs and he was coming up with new end zone dances to outdo Ocho and T.O.

Newton has 16 interceptions this year.... why bother comparing him to The Golden Calf of Bristol?

Just wait until the Broncos look like the Panthers of the last few years.

that fanbase is going to melt the fug down when they start losing. they probably have more bandwagoners than any team in the NFL right now and they are in for absolute HELL.

The devil went mile high? well I guess if Muhammad won't come to you... wait I did something wrong.

Some funny stuff on that thread. Some just have no clue nor making sense. The Golden Calf of Bristol is a great story and I think can be a starting QB, that being said the hate against Cam is some of those posts are hilarious. Just dumb people. Cam is a rookie, he is very good already, he cant win games all by himself, the Panthers are even just competitive, scoring pts and leading in games because of him, and if The Golden Calf of Bristol was on the this team it would be a completely different story..... and not in wins..... they would be done and buried trailing to catch up every game and The Golden Calf of Bristol would be in trouble. I am sure he would have twice the picks cause he would have to be throwing so much.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is a good story, fun to watch and part of a team.... he still is not going to be at the level of Cam.

yea 16 INTS, thats like the # of The Golden Calf of Bristol pass attempts

im not a The Golden Calf of Bristol hater either, the guy is winning, can't knock on that. he is doing real well for where he was drafted too

still he is the definition of over hyped, and call me a homer but comparing him to cam as an adequate qb is ridiculous

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
