Winning/Losing Out

I wanna get everyones take on this. Would you guys rather win the next 2 games, go 7-9, and have momentum for next year or would you rather lose out, get a high draft pick, and make our team better? Personally, I would rather lose the next 2 games and secure a high draft pick and take a CB and then dominate next year.

This has been discussed numerous times so you'll probably get flamed. To answer the question the point of the game is to win. Wanting to lose is idiotic and anyone who cheers for a loss is either a moron or a horrible fan.

I wanted us to lose out last year so we could take andrew luck.

we ended up with cam.

I mean i guess it KIND of worked out...

Well winning will help to somewhat put to rest another, Cam can't do something argue. The Cam can't close out a season strong has already been started by some Panthers fans on other boards. Got to leave it to some Panther fans for giving the media reasons for not having faith in their team.

I hope the Panthers continue to play hard. Again I hope Cam throws for 500, Smitty gets 200 receiving yards, D-Will and J-Stew get 100 rushing yards each, and the D gets multiple sacks and interceptions. At the same time, I hope they lose to get the better draft pick. I hate feeling this way at the end of seasons, but I blame the Panthers for putting me in this predicament. If only they play this hard for the whole seaon, and not decide to show up for the last games.

    • "I'm not stunned," Hansbrough said. "We talked about it at halftime, you asked me 'you have to be pretty happy.' And I said, 'No I've seen this story before.' I've seen this happen. They just had some lapses in games where they just go still offensively, defensively. Their competitiveness just drops a little bit. They never step on anybody's throat. When they have a team with a little bit of a lead, they never step on the throat. It's been something all year." The only disagreement I'd have with Hansbrough's assessment is that it's not limited to just this year. It's been Hubert's entire tenure. Hallmarks of Hubert's teams are: streaky shooting, streaky focus, running your starters into the dirt because you won't sub, and absolutely embarrassingly bad plays put of timeouts. It all points straight to the coach. When the roster keeps changing but the core fundamental issues keep recurring, it's not the players.
    • Leafs are broken. Out of the playoffs and Matthews done for the year.  It's either a very dangerous game against a team who doesn't give a fug and will leave it all on the ice, or a team who's thrown in the towel with an effort to match. And, yes, I'm sitting in the Miami Airport waiting on my next flight. Will be back in Lenovo both 28 & 29 for the b2b.
    • I’m guessing this counts as top 30 visit.
