Should dome QBs have an asterisk by their season stats?

Astroturf is bad for concussions and for the impact through knees and ankles. The weight of a 300 pound man is the same on any surface.

Personally, I think it is a legit question.

Where is easier to throw the ball? In a dome or in Chicago?

I remember a Bears Packers game from the 90s with absolutely ungodly conditions. The wind was so bad that one of the Bears' punts went backwards. Farvre was throwing the ball around like it was a gentle, warm Spring day. He was completely unfazed. Never seen any other QB who could do that.

Hell yes they should. There is a reason the two highest scoring offenses in NFL history both played in a dome, because it makes it a lot easier for finesse/speed. Brady doesnt play in a dome and has amazing numbers. His season is much more impressive to me than Brees.

Really?

So on the flip side, any defenders who play up north and outside in crazy conditions should have an asterisk for when they shut out an offense.

If it pains ya so much go out and start building a dome in Charlotte you whiners.

No thanks, we prefer real football.

What a zinger there!

All I'm saying is if you complain about the conditions of the game relative to the building, you're pretty much being nonsensical this day and age. Maybe you should have brought that up in the 80s bud :)

Its 2012 and now since all these passing records have been broken, you throw out the dome line? Really?

Its due 100x more to all these bs rule changes that have occurred over the years.

Its not like a dome turned Aaron Brooks into a good QB

No thanks, we prefer real football and will complain about people who don't because they play in domes!!

Also...the question posed in the thread is all about stats.

If you really want to be all cute and crap, being a real football fan means getting wins over looking at them pretty stats

Here's a fun fact: 0 remaining playoff teams play in a dome

Thats my point exactly. They all had to leave the dome and then lost. Dome teams can't/don't play the same outside.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
