Aikman is decent, but Joe Buck is dreadful. I actually like John Lynch calling our games believe it or not. I think he's one of the better ones we get. Post-Bucs career Lynch is aces in my book.

My take on Buck/Aikman is that they are so bland. Together they possess a great deal of sports and football knowledge. But they never seem to say anything truly insightful.

Mostly, I hate all announcers...but the good thing about having the #1 crew is that the production value of the broadcast are usually better. Higher quality picture, graphics, more plays from more angles, great replay looping, etc.

However, I have to wonder: is the Panthers/Saints game the most compelling NFC matchup this week? I know Dallas/NYG is a primetime game, so I guess FOX had no other choice. When you consider airing the Cam Newton flying circus against Brees and "the record," you have to assume you will get something worth viewing.

Still, I will be surprised if Brees plays into the 2nd half unless they are losing. If Brady plays deep into his game, then we might see an amazing finish to the game.

What I would love to see is Cam outperforming Brees (and of course, if Brees plays in the 2nd half) this game could be a real shootout.
