Quinn, Edwards on trading block

I bet quinn could be badass in our system.

Also i wish i worked for the cats I could say 'WHY THE fug ARE WE NOT LOOKING AT THESE GUYS!?!?"

I'm sorry braylon sucks in Cleveland but he was an absolute baller in college. I think in a different situation he could be dominant again. The browns are just a shitty team and franchise where very few can shine. Yep I said it.

It would be a shot in the arm to the team as well to get some ACTUAL competition in there with Delhomme. He has never been challenged for that starting spot and the sick thing is that we could probably take the cap hits from both Quinn and Edwards if we traded Peppers...That absolutely disgusts me.

but how many passes did Edwards drop this year? I know a few were droped on crucial downs.

Edwards dropped a ton.....

AFA Quinn goes, if he was here there would be a great outcry on the huddle after his first INT. He wouldn't get a fair chance here...Panthers fans don't want to let loose of the love/hate relationship they have with the good 'ol boy QB because he took us to the Super Bowl six seasons ago.

Edwards has by far the highest drop percentage of any #1 WR in the NFL. No thanks.

Quinn looks like he will be a good QB in the NFL. Not great but he would do well considering how we run our offense and what we would ask from him. He would be a solid guy to take over after Delhomme is gone.

I would much rather give up a single 1st round pick for Quinn than to give up 2 1st rounders, a 3rd, a starting QB and my first born child for Cutler. Peppers for Quinn plus a 2nd and 3rd would work. Of course, this all depends on whether the coaches think Moore or McCown can be our next QB or not.

I'd like to compare Edwards drops to Smiths....

Edit:easier to find than I thought lol

Braylon had 12

Smith had 9 with 2 less games.

hmmmmmmm

Wow that is surprising. It seemed like ever pass I saw thrown to Edwards he was dropping. Maybe they eventually just quit throwing to him.

    • Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.
    • Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.
    • I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
