A "thought" if we get a first back..Can it Be?

There have been various reports that the Panthers are looking to get back into the first round this year, possibly even giving up a first rounder next year. That along with the notion that the Panthers have 5 picks and dont plan to use them all got me thinking...

Davidson runs our offense and he came from a little place called Cleveland. The Browns seem to be shopping a QB that the panthers scouted, and Davidson must be quite familiar with. Being that his name is Quinn and not Cutler it wont take as much to pull this one off. Browns are asking for a first rounder. is it possible we trade back into the first to package a deal for Quinn. I for one wouldnt be surprised. This has nothing to do with Peppers at all, this is just questioning is there a legitimate chance at getting back into the first by trading possibly next years first and this years second or something in that range. Obviously if we trade Pep well be back in the first again, in which case we can actually make a pick or trade down for more picks...

Its going to be very interesting and it's going to certainly take us beating out some other interested teams like the Jets and Broncos, but i would like to think they would rather send him to the NFC, plus Mangini wouldnt want to help the club that fired him or the team that brushed off his chance at Cutler...

People can bash the thread all they want. This has nothing to do with trading Peppers this has too do with trading for a QB that our coaching staff is more familiar than any other out there. As stated above not only is Davidson familiar with Quinn, but our new QB coach is even more capable of providing us great insight of what this guy can do. Without a doubt Quinn could have a huge backing by some of our highest coaches. Unlike Cutler, there is a great familiarity with this guy by almost our entire offensive coaching staff, and even Fox and Hurney who scouted him during that draft...

Bash away, but i would have to say the Panthers are actually keeping an eye on this situation..

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
