I'd like him too...if we needed a MLB. Everything I've read says he's pretty much limited to MLB in the NFL. Too slow for OLB. He reminds me of Dan Connor.

i wouldn't hate zack brown. not my first choice, but he and maybe upshaw are the only 2 LBs i would really feel ok about at the 8/9 spot.

The only problem with Upshaw is he is much, much better suited for a 3-4. If we switched full time to it then I'd be okay, but don't think that is happening. He lacks coverage skills to be an every down 4-3 OLB.

i would think we would use him as a joker LB pass rush specialist. i agree for the most part, though.

truthfully, if we were going to draft someone for the joker (which i am in favor of), i'd rather wait until the 2nd round (or 3rd if we can somehow manage to snag a pick there) and pick up bruce irvin. that kid is going to be a dynamo as long as he's given the freedom to pick and choose his spots and doesn't have to put his hand in the dirt.
