u are a genius my friend... if you wouldn't mind me one upping u.. I believe we need to trade up to the 3rd round and pick up George Iloka ( hopefully he is still there) then in the 4th go after Kennan Robinson or a WR/ Punt Returner/ Scat back then 5th round we go for offensive line depth or corner, and keep the rest of the draft like you had it.... I really want richard marshall back though via free agency.... but thats just me!
seconded on the george iloka idea, though i seriously doubt he's still there.
Exactly....he should have done a little more due diligence on the Panthers.

We DON'T HAVE a 3rd round pick this draft.

maybe he's thinking we have a trade?

i dunno.

What are we going to trade to get into the 3rd round? You are already talking about 4th round and 5th round picks. Don't think a 6th or 7th is gonna get that done.

Antonio Allen is probably more suited for OLB so if he doesn't work out at safety, he can be a solid OLB (who shuts down TE's...his trademark [along with never missing a tackle]).

Solid mock. I thought with the first two picks that it was going to be another one with the same guys...Rainey/Adams, Schwartz, etc. You actually went outside the box. Props.

Just to clarify the 72nd pick thing,

I don't even know why I did it in this format cuz as I got to the 4th round I realized I had no idea what pick we were and I'm horrible with math. I really was just praying nobody would notice haha.

Enjoy the mock though!

like it, though i'd clarify the whole "albert haynesworth" comparison. thx.

They're both 6'6, and I'm sure that he'll bulk up quite a bit to around the same size. They'll both be top 15 picks coming out of the SEC. And they're both very disruptive defensive players that play mean.

Of course I wasn't including Albert's attitude problems and worth ethic, from what I hear Brockers has his head on straight and wants to be great.

Who would you compare him to?

Love the Steed & Allen picks. It would be awesome to see Curry somehow fall into our hands in the 2nd so that may be slightly unrealistic but still a possibility. Brockers is still growing on me (but in a good way).

Great mock draft. It maybe my fav so far this offseason

I really like what I've seen of Steed. He may also be gone before that pick.

You know right now its tough to say which player will go where. Every year I find myself in shock when I see some of the players left on the board that were suppose to go so much earlier.

I try not to get too unrealistic, but you also gotta realize guys will fall. I'm still a firm believer that Mo Claiborne will fall to us.

i've been thinking more along the lines of guys like jay ratliff (as an athletic disruptor) or richard seymour. maybe barry cofield (more this past year because he did such a good job of getting his hand up and made a good few pass deflects as a result. i think he led the DL in the league in that regard).

i don't see him coming into the league playing at those guys level, but after a couple years of experience and training i can see him playing to their level. he's got the talent. he's got the drive. it's just a matter of experience and learning.

I would love to go best available d lineman with the first and best available corner with the second. After that is depth and health insurance for guys like TD, plus someone to at least compete with Martin at FS. Don't forget Gamble seemed to be in the doghouse last year and didn't play well, and this year he was lights out. Maybe drafting a safety in the fourth can light a fire under his ass with some competition.
