I would rather see CB and LB depth. I really don't think out DT situation is as abysmal as everyone says. I think everyone is giving up on our rookie DT's too soon.

One player showed real moments as a rookie to indicate they could develop and make progress the next season. One player showed diddly poo and offered little hope.

DTs were more like Jimmy Clausen. I fully expect them to go back to the draft like they did with his position.

The only time the defense played with any type of consistency was when both DTs were out. It was the Panthers biggest weakness on defense. If they don't try to upgrade they are fools. But something tells me they aren't. It doesn't mean the rookies don't have a future but they may be rotational guys and not starters.

I get that. But the excuses made for Cam's few faults were attributed to lack of training camps, OTA's etc. These guys deserve the same slack IMO.

cam did phenomenal in spite of those issues. can't say the same thing at all for mcclain and fua.

Oh he's number one for sure, In the weakest defensive tackle talent draft I've ever witnessed.

Fletcher Cox is the best overall DT this year, but both are reaches at #9 in my opinion.

Brockers is only a sophomore. He has not even touched his potential. He is only going to get better. A team that picks him may have to wait a year or two for his develop but he will be a beast. Although they don't play the same position he kind of reminds of Jason Pierre-Paul. A guy who is raw but has the measurables to be great. He just needs time and experience to reach his potential. I don't know if we will be that team.
