this is what happens when you neglect a position like we have CB. He was on the field because we sucked there and had nobody else.

Cut him. Why did we Tender Stanford? Hogan returns and should be a better CB--and we will probably draft a CB.

Not fair to judge him for playing outside. He is a nickel---oroblem is, so are Butler and Hogan.

Yeah and i've come to terms with that and realize that hes a quality special teamer and solid nickel that plays with a scrappy attitude that's contagious. It just gets frustrating people attempting to drag me into a flame war because I loved his college play and am a fan of him as a human for what he does off the field as well.

Here's what happens. The other team's QB comes up to the line of scrimmage. He looks for the captain and signals to the wide receiver that captain is hoping to cover...the ball is coming to you because captain can't cover.

It's an instant first down.

Captain is a shoddy defensive back.

SHODDY...yet we give him more money.

GET REALLY MAD ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

calm down, it's an automatic escalation written into the terms of his contract, which was heavily incentive-laden. marty hurney didn't re-write the contract last night while he watched golden girls reruns or just write him a check for the hell of it.
