If we Trade down....

Yup, let's trade back (Cleveland #22 and #37, or NE #27 & #31) plus our #40 and get 3 of the top 40.

With release of Wharton, Cordy Glenn could be back in that mix of CB/DT/OL/LB, or possibly Floyd if they love him.

Why and who would want to trade up

If for some reason Cleveland doesn't get Flynn, I could see them sending us thier 22nd and next years 1st for number nine (to move up in front of Seattle to get Tannehill <--- if he impresses at his pro-day)

That would be ideal, in my opinion.

If Blackmon fell to us and someone offer us a deal similar to what the falcons gave away for Julio Jones, would we take it?

I like our spot because it gives of flexibility.

With everyone who has been talked about getting drafted high, I believe one of the blue-chippers will fall to us.

Love the scenarios where no matter the team that needs to be jumped, they always come to the Panthers for a trade.

You need to get in front of Seattle at 12? Then go all the way up to 9 and trade more picks than you need to because.........the Panthers are just great guys?

Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo. Does anyone need to jump in front of Buffalo?

We are talking to the right guys. Weve got meetings with Cox, Brockers, Floyd. Prepping for different scenarios....I like it

Agreed.

There is one level of players that ends around the 5th pick. The next tier of players ends at around 16 or so. Hope we don't drop any lower than that pick.

That tier has guys like Ingram, Poe, DeCastro, Floyd, Keuchley, Coples Rieff in it.

Best and most likely scenario for a trade down would be for Rieff to drop to us and knowing that Buffalo could use the guy have suitors want to move up to us for trade. I am thinking AZ who just got rid of Levi Brown. Would get us a third and keep us in the running for the same set of guys we could get at pick #9

Wouldn't mind if we could get an extra 2nd round pick or a 3rd round pick for this draft plus something extra for next year's.

Then you might be looking at a drop to 30 or so to be getting next years picks along with a 2nd

Man I hope we'd take it... how awesome would it be to rape another team for picks like that?

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
