What does that accomplish?? Every bronco defender said The Golden Calf of Bristol was a great qb and all the fans believed it abd claimed that they faught for him.... Yea guess who the first people texting Manning were a week before he even signed to the Broncos....

It wouldn't have accomplished anything if Kalil called out Cam's few weakness and I'm glad he sang his praises on the little time they had on air. All I'm saying is that he, the team and us, the fanbase, shouldn't overlook some of Cam's shortcomings in the light of his many achievements.

I mean, you make a great point about the Broncos and The Golden Calf of Bristol. You want your team to rally behind your leader but not to blindly hop on the Camwagon.

Credit and criticism where due - Cam might be the greatest thing to happen to the NFL since the forward pass but, he did miss a number of throws high and there must have been 5-10 plays over the season where he ran it and was brought down like a yard short of the first. /just saying

Wait, so you're telling me that Cam didn't make a first down every time he ran it?!? He was tackled before the sticks 5-10 times this past season?? The HORROR!!! What a jerk, I can't believe he let himself be tackled before getting a first down like that.

i shake my head at anyone who has a single problem with cam's running. i'm sure there were more times in this past season where he scrambled like almost no one else on the planet can do, making a negative play into a positive one, and then dropped down a yard or two past the first down marker, than there were him getting stopped just before that same marker. to say that he has a lack of awareness of where the first down marker is is laughable and ridiculous. of all the things to suggest he work on...

cam's running is fine, if not conservative. one could also call it just plain smart. i know i was getting frustrated when he would flop on the ground before possibly taking a hit and getting a few extra yards....but if that is the difference between healthy cam and banged up cam, then by all means flop away, Mr. Newton.

I think most people realize that he isn't perfect and will need to improve. Having said that, for a rookie QB, he brought so much to our team and was one of the best rookie QBs ever.

You keep saying high passes but really it comes down to his footwork. That's the real problem and the reason a number of his throws come out high.

As far as coming up short on first downs, I can't really comment. I guess that aspect didn't really stand out as much. Maybe they happened to be smart plays.

As long as Newton continues to keep up a great work ethic his physical attributes will just take over. It's always been mental for Cam. If he could get that part down everything else should fall in place.
