Looking For Panthers Artists

Hi everyone -- my name is Ryan Anderson and I work in the Panthers communications department. I'm not sure if this is the forum to do it or if it's appropriate, but here goes...

The Panthers are throwing a 2012 NFL Draft Party on Thursday, April 26 (more information here: http://www.panthers.com/news/article-2/Catch-the-draft-at-Panthers-NFL-Draft-Party/f7f59305-4b22-4591-b135-702ea29b7572)

We're interested in incorporating art from some of our fans. I know I've seen some great work by our fans -- paintings, drawings, etc. -- outside of the practice fields during the season and we'd like a chance to display some of it during the party for everyone to check out.

I'm not sure exactly what form this thing is going to take -- it's going to depend on what kind of response there is from interested fans, but please post below if you've got some stuff you want to share. I'll start working with those interested to see if we can figure something out.

Can we use Photoshop, or are you taking handmade artwork only?

I think we had painting and drawings in mind -- but I'd definitely be opening to seeing some of the photoshop work and we can go from there to see if it fits what we're thinking about.

This is awesome. I'm away at school (SCAD) and all of my Panthers related stuff is at home in Wilmington otherwise I'd totally enter some stuff. If you guys do this again next year I'll definitely have some stuff. That was completely unhelpful to you - just wanted to give you guys some props for doing this. Creating art and the Panthers are my two favorite things ever...I'd die happy if I ever had the two come together.

I'm sure there's plenty of new Cam stuff out there. Are you wanting more Panther logo related art or player art?

Logo or player art I think. There's a guy who hangs out by our practice fields that has painted Cam in some Superman costume type of thing and then some other guys who draw the guys as comic book characters...that's sort of the inspiration for all of them, but we're open to a lot of different stuff and are just trying to see what kind of reaction we get.

Too bad this wasn't happening a few weeks later, I have a Cam screen print planned but can't get to it until the semester winds down.

I think the Cam superman guy you mentioned posted on here a while back selling those paintings. They were pretty badass. We had another guy on here that did some pretty awesome photoshop work with Madden covers and Panthers players, but I can't remember his name now.

I think this forum offers more photoshop pictures than paintings.. the only painting I've seen is the fella that apparently inspired this thread who painted Cam over a Superman image..

btw, not only do I commend phidelt649 for his work, I am a customer.. dude is mad talented yo!
