The Official Nfl Nike Uniforms, Merchandise, Etc...thread

I think in terms of comfort and materials those "Game" jerseys are a huge upgrade over the Reebok replicas. The reebok replicas were cheap materials with numbers that washed off. I'd give these a chance. The problem is they are stitched to look some sort of T-Shirt that makes them look cheap. Most of the people complaining about spending $100 on a uni are not the target audience anyways.

The Seahawks look amazing. This is the problem with saying you want a new uni. I might think the new look is amazing and you might hate it. Now you are stuck with this design you hate for the next 15 years. Just be happy with what we have. They look great. We have great colors and a timeless style.

I'm a big fan of the Oregon "trends" and I hope many teams switch. It's good to have a mix of classic and progressive uniforms. When I was a teenager my parents called my music "noise". Now I call my niece's music "noise", it's the way of the world.

At the end of the day I'm gonna watch football. It doesn't matter what the uniforms look like. I just want to see guys compete.

The jerseys are made for the players, not for fans that want to pretend they're on an NFL team.

they are designed to sell to the public

Nike didn't take over in order to make the players really comfortable.

I hope we don't get new jerseys anytime soon. I have a feeling Nike will screw it up. The new Seahawks jersey is terrible.

you act like seattle had no input into the design at all and it was a surprise. Seattle signed off on that. They screwed it up, not nike.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
