I used to listen to WFNZ but its almost intolerable during the NFL offseason. Most of the guys know very little about the Panthers. Topics that have been beaten to death in the Huddle are brought up like they're breaking news - often with inaccurate facts.

The people who call in... well, if you can sit through more than 2 or 3 of them, you've got a lot more patience than me.

To be fair the hosts on WFNZ have jobs and family. They don't have time to surf the web for rumors all night.

I have listened to NFL radio in a buddies car. It can be nice. They cover all the teams not just big markets like ESPN.

Marc James is the epitome of sleazeball radio host. He loves the Miami Hurricanes, New York Mets (cocaine era), the Oakland Raiders, and New York Knicks. Basically he front runs whichever dysfunctional franchise was hopped up on drugs and scandal during his child hood. He promotes for strip clubs and sucks up to every guest. I could go on for day about how much I hate this guy. He is an unsuccessful Colin Cowherd.

Taylor is great. I respect his work and values.

The Mac Attack has great chemistry but when anyone is missing its lousy. They will stink when Jim retires.

Brett Jensen attended my alma mater in Gastonia and I can't stand him. He pretty much hates everything about his life. He hates sports, his college, and the Panthers. I really don't know why he hasn't ended it yet.

Frank can be good sometimes but he's a blow hard. Always cuts people off to make a point. As if he doesn't get enough air time.

I used to listen all day at work but now I just listen to the Mac Attack on podcast and the first two hours of the drive.

To answer the op's question, there are no set "Panther times" on WFNZ. It really depends on if there is anything in the news. They tend to be slower than the internet when it comes to getting in news. They can't break news like "Pantherman83" on the huddle. They have to wait for some one credible to report it. Ron Rivera has a radio show on 1110am at 8pm following a game. So if we play Sunday it's 8pm Monday night. If we play Monday then it's 8pm Tuesday. I've heard Marty Hurney has a show but I get angry every time I hear his voice.

LMAO

I've listened to WFNZ everyday for the last few years, I enjoy most of the content and I did enjoy pac man. Chris mclain is the best on the air with Jim. Frank grinds my nerves a bit but I really like yarbs. The drive is okay but they get a little caught up on out of market teams and they are still learning the charlotte market. Overall I feel like I know them all personally and I can't stand the charlotte music stations so WFNZ is where its at for me.

I know what you mean. I never considered satellite radio until I moved back here.
