Harvey was drafted 8th overall in 08 and only has 8 career sacks. He's a bust.

He had better stats in college and the same questions about his motor just like Coples.

You can look at anyone in the draft and find someone with similar characteristics who ended up being a bust. It doesn't mean that the guy we pick will be a bust or that we shouldn't draft him. Threads like this are a total waste if the intent is to convince the masses whether we should draft him or not.

The number one thing that scares me about coples is the fact his production went down from last year to this. If he can only manage 7 sacks in the acc I'm not sure how much more productive he will be in the nfl.

Not even close. Coples has more upside and a lot more athletic.

If Robert Quinn was a 14th overall pick last year, I think Coples is worth every bit of a top ten pick.

It is definitley a fair comparison as both are the top 10 pass rushers with similar size questions.

Harvey redshirted his first season at Florida, then did not have much of an impact as a RS Frosh in 2005. Last year though, he developed into a consistent threat off the edge. He earned All SEC 2nd team honors after finishing the year with 35 tackles, 13 for loss, and seven sacks. As a junior with teams focusing on him, he still had a solid season. He finished with 41 tackles, 14 for loss, and 6.5 sacks.

Harvey has big time pass rush potential off the edge. He is an excellent athlete, with very good quickness and speed off the edge. He fires off the snap quickly, has the quickness and change of direction ability to get around the tackle, and the speed to close on the quarterback. Harvey has solid size and the frame to add more weight as he gets older.

As you might expect with an underclassmen, Harvey is not a finished product at this point. He does not hold his ground at the point of attack very well, which can get him taken out of running plays at times. He will need to get stronger to develop into more of an all around end. He also relies on his natural speed and athleticism too much to get to the QB.

Harvey has the upside and pass rush ability teams crave, and is a better prospect than Jarvis Moss was last year. He'll be a first round pick on draft day.

Jamaal Anderson DE 6'5 288 Arkansas Jr. 4.75

Anderson is a former wide receiver that made a smooth transition to defensive end. As a freshman reserve, he was in on 18 tackles. As a sophomore, he was in the rotation, and started the last five games of the year after an injury, and he has taken off from that point. He had 47 tackles, 10.5 for loss, and four sacks that season. Anderson blew up as a junior, finishing with 65 tackles, 19.5 for loss, and 13.5 sacks.

Jamaal Anderson is an absolute freak physically. Not only is he an excellent athlete, with great quickness and agility, but he has great size as well. He is a difference maker off the edge as a pass rusher. He dominated as a junior, and still has a ton of untapped potential. He could be an all around force at the next level.

Anderson is still adjusting to playing in the trenches, and is still a work in progress. He has been able to get by on his tremendous physical ability, but he will not be able to rely on that alone in the NFL. He declared after his junior year, only having about a season and a half of starting experience under his belt.

Anderson has the size and talent that will draw comparisons to Mario Williams and Julius Peppers, and he carries a great deal of upside at the next level. He had a solid showing in the post season, but probably not enough to overtake Gaines Adams as the top end in the draft. His upside is amazing, and he could make teams that do not select him regret it in the future.

Last paragraph is errie...and Coples has less stats...in the ACC.

*I do however think that Coples will be slightly better that Gaines Adams....for obvious reasons....

Check out his youtube footage. The guy clearly is nonchalant on a ton of different plays. Whether the play was a run or pass, to his side or to the opposite side..it didn't matter..he just didn't care.

And Jacksonville had Jack Del Rio..a very intense defensive coach..so coaching can only go so far to motivate someone. You either have the heart or you don't. When have you ever seen a guy have zero heart in college then suddenly have fire and determination in the pros? It doesn't happen.

I'm a tarheel fan, for the record, but if you don't have a work ethic and determination i wouldn't want you on the team.
