Brees Reiterates That Nfl Has Provided “No Meaningful Evidence”

An admission of guilt from the perpetrator is pretty compelling evidence, Drew. He's going to continue to ride this dead horse of denial because to change stances now would prove his lying ways and sully his breesus image. Then would come the questions of how much he actually knew while it was occurring.

I have always hated the saints* but I always hated them solely because they were division rivals. Their players were generally classy... how can you hate Drew Brees, right?

Lots of people have probably felt the same way, but Brees is really showing his true colors on all this. Fake-ass swamp rat. Here's to Cam pissing in their swamp cheerios for the next decade and a half.

For me it was the division rivalry thing, but it was more than that too... I always knew they were dirty... it was obvious.

I did have respect (which I am losing) for Brees because he did seem like a decent guy, but he's being a huge hypocrite with this bounty deal.

There were really three teams I hated... New England because of their arrogance, Dallas because... well, it's Dallas, and New Orleans because they were division rivals and their fans are inbred redneck idiots...

I have no problem with him. Deny, deny, deny. It's what I would expect him to do. Stand up and deny any wrongdoing on members of his team. Sure, everyone knows it's a lie, but don't throw your team under the bus when you don't have to...

Not through retribution and not because I want it to happen...but I see Brees getting hurt this year. Karma has a way of dealing with liars and total idiots...."No meaningful evidence...?", dude, do your ears work? Can you hear, do you read the internet, do you watch TV, have you spoken to anyone on your team? I wouldn't play this year if I were him just because of how much he has tempted fate with some of the dumbest comments I have heard since Randy Moss.

You can trust there will be a bounty on his head for not doing what's right.

On another note anyone think this is why the pro bowl line that consisted mostly of Saints players let Cam get killed.

Brees is also talking as a player rep. Not a rep as a Saint.

    • Ideally Bryce and the other starters should get at least a full quarter and an argument could be made for 2 full quarters given how they've played early in the season the last few years.
    • A rookie that has never played a snap and a proven 1000K NFL WR are not going to be viewed the same in these type rankings.  And calling draft picks, lotto picks, isn't some new quip I just invented.  take the big 3 Hubbard, AT, insert whatever 3rd Panther you want vs Kamara, Hill, Olave.  Most football folks outside of Carolina are picking the Saints there IMO.
    • You didn’t really address the point, just like you ignored the point about the RBs initially, and saying “they are all lotto picks” is just a really silly reduction because you could say that about literally any player rookie or vet every snap, every game, every year. It is well known that different positions have different hit rates, and I would argue different types of prospects within position groups as well, and that hit rates change the further down in the draft you go. Everybody knows QB is different and that, for example, first round OL have a really high success rate. Using your lotto ticket analogy…again…you are saying a lotto ticket with a 1 in 100 chance of hitting is the exact same thing as a lotto ticket with a 1 in 2 chance of hitting (this is an example, don’t take these odds literally). The point was he is no more of a lotto ticket than the 31yr old receiver coming off a major knee injury, and in my opinion he is better odds with a higher potential “jackpot”. Saying one player is an “lotto ticket” while another isn’t is just not sound logic. You have no idea who will break out, regress, get injured, etc. There are safer bets than others, that’s all. I don’t think Diggs is a safe bet and even if he was, weighing him over all of the Panthers WRs plus 2 1k rushers is just dumb. You can disagree if you want. The list is stupid.
