Of These 4 Draft Prospects Who Is Your Favorite?

disagree with that, this is not the old NFL. rookies are coming in and starting at every position with success including DT/DE. the Jets, Chargers, Bills, Titans, Texans, Browns had rookie DT/DE start last year over 10 games with decent numbers.

Dont lump DEs in with DT talk. Different positions. Edge rushers are a plug and play position to a large degree. Much easier to find DEs than DTs to make a rookie impact.

i should have clarifed, i was meaning 3-4 DE. who at times plays similar role as a DT in a 4-3.

now he was banged up the whole.year?

stop making excuses for him.

Well everybody makes excuses for their player. Atleast the player I'm defending has an actual reason. And he still played very well. If we draft coples I will be fine. But I'm telling ya hardy is a good football player. I'd rather have him and Johnson. And personally I think hardy will be the better of the 2.

He had 2 years to start. Read kats argument above about DTs and DEs who come in and start right away. If Hardy didn't do that, it was his issue. He was facing Brayton and Brown for time, both guys that Rivera didn't even keep when he got here. I am fine with Hardy staying and improving and really don't think it has to be Coples or Hardy, it can be both. But Hardy has had 2 full years to develop and really hasn't. Maybe bringing in some competition will light a fire and bring out his best. That is what competition is supposed to do.

And John Fox was his coach should I say anymore or go thru the history?

You mean the lame duck year where Fox was told what to do and we started a bunch of rookies and young players because we dumped all the veterans???? No history lesson needed and all the other years were irrelevant. When Moore struggled Fox was told to bring in Clausen. If Hardy was ready he could have been starting as well. Fox was just going through the motions and was a figurehead. No history lesson needed.

Yeah and the young player who got time at Pass Rush specialist was Everette Brown.

They liked Brown over Hardy. Actually they started the year with Brayton and when he struggled then they brought in Brown. Hardy was seen as fourth on the depth chart and only a situational pass rusher. Not starter material more than Fox wouldn't play him.

He was seen 4th because he was a 6th round pick. But it's obvious when the new coaching staff came in they liked him and still does.
